Code of conduct

Here at MCG Timber we expect the highest standards of conduct from all our employees at all times. In order to do this, we expect our employees to:

  • Display integrity and a positive representation of the business
  • Act in an honest and fair manner
  • To not act in a manner that may result in a conflict of interest
  • To discredit the company or cause a negative impact to the company’s reputation
  • Comply with all UK industry regulations and laws

 

This is not all our Code of Conduct is for however, as it also forms the basis for all our business practice updates and employee training. The code reflects the values that are at the heart of our business, which makes it the perfect foundation to work from.

The code is also used to formulate our company targets on employee training, supplier management and our standards. These targets are then assessed through company audits.

Our company audits allow us to take a regular health check of all aspects of the way our business is running. We find these invaluable in ensuring we maintain the standards we set for ourselves and for our suppliers. As a minimum requirement we complete our audits annually, but typically we complete audits two or three times a year. This ensures that we are doing the best we can for everyone connected to our business, and in turn that we can provide the best service possible to our customers.

It is hugely important to everyone at MCG Timber that we maintain our standards on our environmental policies, our health and safety criteria, and our employee welfare.
